The first 10 funded projects have been published!
We are pleased to present the 10 projects that have been awarded funding through Crescendo. This step marks an important milestone in our efforts to enhance cybersecurity in the Nordic energy sector and supports our long-term vision for a more resilient and secure energy supply.
Strengthening Collaboration and Long-Term Impact
The selected projects have been carefully evaluated by our external experts and chosen with the goal of promoting cross-border collaboration. In a time when cyber threats are more relevant than ever, it is crucial to adopt a coordinated and collaborative approach to cybersecurity. The Crescendo projects will not only focus on short-term solutions but also aim to create a lasting impact that benefits all stakeholders in the energy sector.
Value for Companies
The selected projects include innovative solutions such as IT/OT security testing frameworks, compliance support for the NIS2 directive, and enhanced cybersecurity measures for battery energy storage systems, all aimed at safeguarding the electricity supply in critical infrastructures. This ensures long-term resilience and value for stakeholders across the Nordic energy sector.
Additionally, they will strengthen collaboration between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and larger actors, which is vital for achieving an overall improvement in cybersecurity across the sector. By investing in these projects, we are taking steps to create significant value for all companies working in energy and cybersecurity.

Let’s Strengthen Cybersecurity Together
We encourage all stakeholders to stay connected and engaged as we move forward with the development of these exciting projects. The response we received showcased a field of highly qualified applicants, reflecting the immense talent and innovation within our community. If your project wasn’t selected this time, don't be discouraged - there will be a second round of funding in January 2027, where we will support an additional 30 projects.
Through the Crescendo-project, we are committed to building a robust network and fostering knowledge sharing among all participants. Together, we can enhance cybersecurity in our energy sector and pave the way for a safer future for everyone.
